Baseball! Candle Ribbon Wrap, Krispie Cookies & Phillies Pinterest Board

I started a new Phillies Baseball Fun Pinterest Board, so this week's posts have had a bit of a baseball and tailgating theme... The next, no-brainer, idea for decorating the candle on my tiered tray, Wrap a Flameless Candle in Icon or Logo Ribbon. You only need about 10" of ribbon to cover a 4" wide pillar candle. I secured the ribbon closed with glue dots. And of course, this doesn't need to be sports theme'd, any pretty ribbon would be nice. Dollar Tree usually has a display of seasonal choices, as well as the glue dots:@) Planning a wedding, bridal shower, baby shower, etc? You could have custom ribbon printed up. But please, only use flameless candles or wrap it around glass jars...

Need a little snack that travels well...
May I suggest these Krispie Mmmm's Cookies.
Good stuff folks:@)

And finally,
Let's start humming the song now...

Pineapple Pie, K-Cup Easter Egg Holders & Easter Tiered Tray

The countdown to Easter is truly on, so for this week's ReView... If you're looking for a dessert that's little different for the Easter buffet this year, may I suggest this Pineapple Pie. It only requires one 20 oz can of crushed pineapple and a double crust. I used a cute chick cookie cutter to vent the center:@)

These Recycled K-Cup Easter Egg Holders are a fun project, especially great to keep the kids busy for a while... Then maybe the Easter Bunny could set his favorite dyed egg out for each kid to have for breakfast. You know, before they start in on the candy:@)

My 2024 Easter Tiered Tray: "Chocolate" bunny is a 98¢ plastic candy container from Walmart. I tied a pretty bow around the neck. Dollar Tree chick S&P's (bought years ago), and an old Christopher Radko Easter Bunny ornament. Luckily the bottom is flat, my ornament holder won't fit on the top tier.
Bottom Tier: How to make Flameless Candle Wrap here, colorful appy food picks, napkins, functional S&P grinders, vintage ducks on pond S&P, and of course we have to have some jelly beans:@)

🐣Easter is next weekend folks,

Seasonal Easter Bunny Wrap for Flameless Candles & Glass Jars

Continuing on with my next idea for Seasonal Flameless Candle Wraps... I picked up a pack of puffed gingham Easter bunny decorations at Dollar Tree. Each bunny is a tad over 4" tall, and they had blue, purple, and pink (I know, shocking that I didn't get the pink ones:@) I wish there was a multi-color pack, but no. Then hot glued them onto a ribbon at the bottom, so it could be wrapped around the candle. It took 4 to cover a standard 3" wide pillar candle. Options for the closure: It could be tied, use glue dots, velcro, or just quickly sew it together. I left one end of the ribbon longer and just hot glued it onto the back of the next bunny, creating a circular collar. Colorful and adorable, another great addition to my tiered tray centerpiece.

You could add another ribbon behind the heads if desired. I'm going to leave it as is:@)

St. Patrick's Day Fabric Wrap for Flameless Candles & Glass Jars

**Disclaimer: Please read the title again... I treated myself to a set of Luminara flameless pillar candles from QVC at the holidays. Purposely chose white so they’d be perfect year-round… Then I saw a candle wrap on clearance and decided to use that as inspiration… Wa-la, here we have a Fabric St. Patrick's Day Candle Wrap that took about 2 minutes to put together and will add a little seasonal fun to my tiered tray on the kitchen table. I also love that it doesn't hurt the candle in any way, will be easy to change out, and the possibilities are endless. The key here: ~Flameless or fully contained in glass candles, Please-No Live Flame~.

I started with some leftover seasonal print fabric. Then used glue dots to secure the ends together and hold it onto the candle. The light still shines through the fabric brightly and it looks great! Honestly couldn't be easier:@) As the year goes on and holidays continue, I'll show a few more cute ideas using different materials.
Vintage bubble edge glass coaster from thrift store, love using it as a candle holder.

Luminara, as well as a couple other higher end flameless candles, can occasionally be found at the HomeGoods group of stores. As with everything in life, it all depends on timing:@)

🍀Let's start thinking green...

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Football Tiered Tray

I added a few items to my Tiered Tray Centerpiece for the game and took a couple quick pics... If the sun comes out I'll try to get better ones, but wanted to pop in to wish everyone a great day!

I picked up a football field runner💕

Saturday Snippets-Playoff Weekend! Tiered Tray, Party Supplies, Vintage S&P, Munchies & More

We're ready for some football here at Pig In Mud!!! The Philly Faithful are still believing in St. Nick Foles and we have our fingers crossed for a win tomorrow in Nawlins:@) I put together a quick football centerpiece and my favorite thing about it is the great items I found on clearance! The penalty flags were marked down to 10¢ (and may sit next to me during the game to throw at the TV as needed...).

This pic was from before the Bears game last week. Eagles cocktail napkins were marked down to 10¢ a pack a few years ago. And the battery operated candle was half price after Christmas at Walmart, it's kind of neat the way the 'wick' actually wiggles around creating a flickering effect.

Walmart had an end display of party goods, I saw a lot of similar items at Party City too.

I found this ~really~ adorable old salt and pepper set (egg holder?) nosing around Etsy HERE.
But alas... It's not for my team.

Need an easy appy for the game?
These Stovetop Stuffing Meatballs are very good and about as easy as it gets!

Or feel up to the challenge of making something a little more involved?
These Chicken Bombs are still one of my most popular posts on Pinterest and something I need to make again... soon.
There are 87 (and growing) pins at a glance on my Dips, Cheese Balls and Salsa Pinterest Board HERE.

And finally, when jalapenos are this big and beautiful... I'll be stuffing them for lunch for sure!

Have a great weekend everyone, eat well and enjoy the games:@)

Saturday Snippets- Easter Tiered Tray, Vintage Bunny Lights and Onion Snow

The theme for the Easter Tiered Tray this year seems to be silly bright colors, tons of eggs and lots of glitter:@) As soon as I saw the bird pick at Walmart I knew it would be fun tucked into my small vase and the mini egg ornaments fill in the top tray nicely. I've also added a new string of battery light up eggs from Walmart to the bottom. They came with an automatic 6 hour timer, which I thought was pretty nice for $2.44!

Tip: Add some sparkle and pizzazz to Dollar Tree battery votives by sprinkling a little holiday colored glitter on top. I suggest the glitter for hard plastic candles only, it might stick to candles covered in wax.

I decided I really enjoyed lights in the kitchen window over Christmas and hope to keep changing them out for the different holidays and seasons. I've combined a few sets of old Easter lights, some gifted from my Aunt Dot and a couple found at thrift stores. Two different bunnies and some carrots add to our Easter fun. I'll be on the lookout for an Easter garland next year, but for right now the gold works:@)

And I'll leave you with... Old time farmers in the Mid Atlantic region would plant their cool weather crops and onion sets around St. Patrick's Day. Then they would sit back and wait for the "onion snow". That's the one last (hopefully the last) little dusting of snow for the season... My peas are in the planter on top and I'd say we had our onion snow for this spring on Wednesday:@) As with most March storms, the snow was gone in a day or two. Now I'm headed to the garden center to see if they have any spinach plants yet!

Don't forget Easter is next weekend and have a happy day:@)
