Apple Walnut Raisin Coleslaw

With big flavor, a hearty crunch, and tasty healthy ingredients (let's ignore the mayo-k?:@), this Apple Walnut Raisin Coleslaw is a great way to change up a favorite side dish. Actually, I'm thinking why not add a little diced turkey and call it a meal... I loved everything about this creamy salad folks and can't recommend it highly enough-enjoy!

Our regular coleslaw doesn't call for onion, I really liked that addition.
I do suggest slicing the onion and giving it a quick dip in cold water (dry well), just to take a little of the sharpness off.
This recipe is for a big crowd and is easily cut in half or scaled down.

Here are a few other fun ways to change up coleslaw:
                                       1. Amish Coleslaw with Celery, Horseradish and Lemon
                                       2. Coleslaw with Mustard
                                       3. Jalapeno Coleslaw
                                       4. Pepper Slaw-No Mayo

  4. I like the idea of adding turkey or chicken to your coleslaw for a complete meal! I bet Greek yogurt would be a great alternative to the mayo in the dressing. :)
