Saturday Snippets-Two Ingredient BBQ Pumpkin Seeds, Black Cats and Turkey Toes???

Save the seeds as you're carving Jack-O-Lanterns this weekend folks, these Two Ingredient BBQ Pumpkin Seeds are very tasty and nice and easy. Great around the bonfire or as a football party munchie... Adult beverage optional, but highly recommended:@) I always like it when I can use as much of the pumpkin as possible, I even take mine down to the creek when I'm done with it and break it as a treat for the critters.

Walmart has a great selection of new 94¢ wing and dip mixes and I thought the BBQ one would be perfect.
Oh, and there's a traditional wing hot sauce one that I think would be good with pumpkin seeds too... just sayin'.
  1. Clean the pumpkin seeds of all stringy orange innards, I ended up with about 1 1/4 C seeds.
  2. Toss seeds onto a paper towel to lightly drain.
  3. Toss seeds onto foil or parchment lined baking sheet, and sprinkle with mix. Use your fingers and really massage and spread the mix all over the wet seeds. You will end up with mix stuck to your fingers, that's ok, just wash it off, there will still be plenty of flavor on the seeds.
  4. Bake at 275 degrees for 10 minutes, stir, bake for another 10 minutes and stir. Check the seeds, if they are dry they are done, if not return them to the oven and check on them every 5 minutes or so until they are dry.
  5. Allow to cool completely and enjoy!
These Smoked Paprika Pumpkin Seeds HERE are another great option.

Much to my surprise-
I walked outside while decorating my Halloween Tree and saw this spooky little guy...

And finally, don't forget to pick up a pack of candy corn on clearance...
You'll need it to make Turkey Toes HERE for Thanksgiving:@)

Have a Happy Halloween Weekend everyone-
Eat much, stay safe and play nice:@)

  1. Love pumpkin seeds, Lynn, and the seasoning sounds perfect. I like the idea of taking the pumpkin down to the creek to get full use of it. Happy Sunday!

  2. Very clever Lynn! That used to be one of my favorite parts of Halloween, the roasted pumpkin seeds my mom would make! Haven't had any in years! Your turkey toe treat bags are adorable~

  3. Too cute Lynn! Your neighborhood friendly black cat looks like he's found a safe and warm perch on your wood pile. :)

  4. These pumpkin seeds sound addictive!!! We have a neighborhood black cat that loves to taunt Izzy as he hangs out in our yard!
