This Candy Corn Fondue is a great way to use up some extra candy corn from Halloween. Just put three ingredients into the slow cooker and stir every once in a while, two hours later you have a fun munchie, it's that easy folks. If you like pretzels covered in white chocolate, you'll enjoy this snack. I think Nilla wafers, graham crackers and apple slices would be good with the dip too. Be sure to use Brach's Candy Corn, as a point of reference the bags they have at Dollar Tree = approximately 3/4 cup. It is important to stir this every 20 minutes or so, the candy can scorch and burn on the sides. This is a nice sweet treat that's just a little different for this time of year:@)
I made a quarter of the recipe in my Little Dipper Crock Pot.
More candy to use up?
I made a Chocolate Candy Fondue here:
Slow Cooker Candy Corn Fondue-adapted from Real Housemoms
2 (11 oz) bags white chocolate chips-I used Ghiradelli
2 C candy corn-Brach's
1 C heavy cream-start with less and add more if needed as it begins to melt -I used Half and Half
pretzels, or anything else that sounds good for dipping
- Add chips, candy and cream to 1.5 quart slow cooker. Cover, turn to low, cook for 2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes.
- Stir until smooth, serve with pretzels and other dippers.
Yummy! I love your flashing pumpkin too!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun is that, Lynn??!! I love this idea! I need a Little Dipper!
ReplyDeleteIF we could have a Halloween party, this would definitely be on the menu! So creative :)
ReplyDeleteI would have never thought to make a fondue with candy corn! I have made infused vodka with it though *hiccup* :)
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious, I love a sweet fondue but we usually do just chocolate, this would make a nice change.
