T-Rex Dinosaur Birthday Cake (or Pie) Candle

Once again I have to thank my son for humoring me on his birthday! All in the name of blog fodder, I made this fun Dinosaur Birthday Candle for the top of his B-Day apple pie. I've wanted to do it for a few years and figured the timing was right with the release of the new Jurassic World-Fallen Kingdom movie. I simply cut the pick off of an inexpensive candle holder and hot glued it to the toy. (A more secure option would be to drill a little hole in the dinosaur and stick the pick of the candle into the hole.) If you'd rather not have the plastic toy sitting on the cake or pie, simply cut some wax paper or foil and place it under the feet and tail. Silly birthday party hat totally optional... But highly recommended:@)

 Guess who's coming to dinner:@)
I think this is a simple idea for a kids party and you can find these little dinosaurs for $1 at both Walmart and Dollar Tree.
They'd also be cute take home gifts for the kids.

If you're running with this theme for a good natured ~big kid~... Here are some corny one liners:
It's the Big One!
You're Dino... mite
Roar-It's your birthday
Don't fret, you're not as old as ~this~ guy
You're not a dinosaur... You're... um... vintage:@)

Make something just for fun and have a happy day!
