Ever Question Yourself?

Hey everyone! I have an inspiration board in my studio and one of my favorite quotes is from George Jones, yep the country singer. George was asked about his song He Stopped Loving Her Today during an interview and this was his response:

"I told them, it ain't never gonna sell, it's just too damn sad!"

Obviously it's all a matter of personal opinion, but I don't think anyone would question
that this is truly one of the most powerful country songs of all time.

Moral of the story:
Sometimes you just have to complete the task,
because if you don't, you may have missed out on your signature song!

Have a happy day:@)

  5. I am not familiar with the song but I love and agree with your "Moral of the Story".

I thought of your beautiful fall flower photos when I went to the nursery yesterday. Fall is certainly in the air. And yup, they even had pumpkins!

I hope you are having a wonderful long holiday weekend.

  6. No question that would not sell. I love it and most all of his songs. Especially, the ones with Tammy Wynnett.

  8. Hi Lynn! I've never been a big fan of George Jones but got to liking him when Hee Haw was on TV. My daughter and son in law went to see him perform in Bakersfield, California and they said it was great!

  10. Love it, always have. I am from the "country when country wasn't cool" generation. I can just see my mom and dad's old 78 Vinyl album covers of Loretta Lynn, Kitty Wells, Merle Haggard, and George Jones. Thanks for bringing back a flood of memories today.

  13. I don't know much about George Jones but he should give you some compensation for a great ad. My Mom likes ole George and sings along with that sad, sad song when it plays on the radio. I like something a little more happy but I'm not knocking you George J. fans. Shannon

  17. Aww! I love country music because of songs like this that make you really stop and think and "feel". There certainly is a place for that as well as all the other! Great inspiration connection to carry on! Thanks!
