I saved this recipe for Orange Slice Cookies as soon as I saw it. And while adding orange slice candy to cookies might seem a little odd, it adds a big burst of flavor that works well with white chocolate chips and nuts. And please don't skimp on the nuts! They really are a key component. The recipe is a slight variation of chocolate chip cookies. I did try the recipe exactly as is, it produces a nice, somewhat crispy cookie, perfect for a strong cuppa or glass of milk:@) It's also good if you need quite a few cookies for your function, the yield, using a cookie scoop, is about 72+ cookies.
This is a cookie for ~sweet~ lovers folks.
We will be revisiting this recipe shortly,
I do have a few tweaks to make another variation:@)
Tip: Even after rolling in sugar, the cut candy is sticky.
I just pushed the pieces down into the dough.
Seemed easier to mix in that way.
