Whether you choose to slather this on grilled meat, broiled wings or use it as a dipping sauce... It's good stuff folks! For a Thanksgiving and Christmas flare I've added cinnamon, cloves and orange to Sweet Baby Rays for this
Holiday BBQ Sauce and we all thought this was a great flavor combination. I served it with
Baked Buffalo Chicken Nuggets (my new favorite HERE)... Very ~very~ nice:@)
You know you want some:@)
How about heating up some meatballs as an appy for your next football or holiday party...
Holiday BBQ Sauce
1 C Sweet Baby Rays original
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground cloves
2 tsp frozen orange juice concentrate
A few grinds of black pepper
~Mix everything, let mingle for at least an hour, and enjoy!
That sounds great but I'll try it with Tony Roma's. Sweet Baby Ray's uses high fructose corn syrup which I avoid. Tony Roma's doesn't. I think one of the other brands also uses sugar instead of HFCS in their original recipe but I don't remember which one.
ReplyDeleteThe orange juice and spices sound amazing. Might even try this with some sort of home-made recipe that isn't quite so successful. Might finally bring it up to scratch.
The home made chicken nuggets sound amazing. I'm going to try those and this doctored sauce. Might be a nice light meal for New Year's day. Something I can bring over to my parents' house pre-done and just pop in the oven.
Such an easy way to make a really tasty BBQ sauce!
ReplyDeleteYes, I sure do want some, Lynn, and then I'll take a couple of your maple walnut spritz for dessert!
ReplyDeleteyum yum and yum.
ReplyDeleteOoh this sounds good and I love the idea of it served with meatballs for the holidays!
