I made a good Pineapple Pie-recipe HERE, it lays nice and smooth, it's easier to decorate the top crust that way.
Bonus-a 20 oz can of pineapple is usually on sale for under a dollar.
Standard basket weave for the bottom, I just kept the widths random and twisted the rim of the basket and handle.
Sprinkle the eggs with colored sugar before placing them on the pie.
It's best to make at least one extra crust whenever playing with these decorated pies.
Why not fill a basket with something other than candy this Easter...
