I snapped this picture on Sunday, which was a breezy, cool and brisk day. Even though we then had a hard frost that night, I was still greeted by this beautiful color after work yesterday-big smiles!
Fall is here, it is true,
Skies are gray, rarely blue.
Though there are but a few,
Enjoy the blooms just for you.
Have a great week:@)

Beautiful bloom! I have a similar daylily and the tag said it blooms until well after the first frost.
ReplyDeleteWhat a hearty bloomer! Love the color!
ReplyDeleteWe have a few flowers hanging on. Nothing quite as spectacular as this.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
What a lovely Daylilly that greeted you, Lynn. I love your creative Fall poem!
ReplyDeleteI would smile too if I was greeted by that pretty yellow Daylilly.
ReplyDeleteSam
that's awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. One of the last flower posts I imagine I will be seeing this year.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful day lily, Lynn -- such a cheerful shade of yellow. When we lived in our first house years ago, we had the old-fashioned orange day lilies blooming in front of your house through the summer. People call them railroad lilies around here because you often see them growing alongside railroad tracks in the summer. I still miss those flowers! Thanks for sharing this with us and enjoy your beautiful fall day!

ReplyDeleteI am jealous that you had frost already...

Lovely!
ReplyDeleteand I love that mummy pie, too!

SO pretty! I think all our flowers are long gone :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty flower! =)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty bloom Lynn! My plants are all confused, we have hydrangeas with new blooms and I spied some gardenias on my bush this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteI think Mother Nature is confused right now, especially around here~ I found a patch of impatients in bloom and I have planted those in years! My hydrangeas are greening up like its early spring! Love your daylilly surprise!
