  2. I had a Maine coon cat for 11 years .. She weighed 27 lbs. and her agility always amazed me. She could jump into the tree and sit on the limb and never even make the ornaments move.... loved your photos..

  3. Hi Lynn,
thats a post für me and Wiski, right? But he is an old cat now and do not play with baubles. But I remember the young ones in former times, they had really fun. We hung a chain with little bells in the lower branches, so we could hear when the cat entered the tree.
    Best greetings, Johanna

  5. LOL! I can so relate to these. We now have 4 in the house and it's been fun (?) trying to keep them from destroying the tree. I have a pic of one of them in the tree in my sidebar.

  6. We have yelled "timber" a couple of times through the years. We finally put some tiny hooks up in the corner and would anchor the top of the tree firmly to the wall.
Our kitty sure liked to sleep under the tree though.

  11. Our cat's too lazy to move.
But when I was a kid, I had a Siamese that used to go up inside our tree and then couldn't figure out how to get down. He'd meow until someone came to rescue him.
Happened at least three times a week.
    I love kitties.

  18. Good morning Lynn, Thank you for your comment on our trip. Tomorrow is the big day. Your kitten pics are so cute. Why do cats love to climb in the Christmas tree? HA

  19. Lynn, the first cat my mother ever allowed into the house did just this! it was a cold winter night and it was crying outside. She opened the door to give it a little something and it ran in the house and straight up our tree. We kids screamed and screamed and laughed and laughed. I was around 12. She decided it could stay as it was so bitter outside and that began a whole family history of having cats. So of course I loved your photos as it reminded me of that.

  20. I think we were lucky. The one time we had a cat, all he would do is get a drink of the Christmas tree stand and study the ornaments...we never lost one.
