Bacon Wrapped Tator Tots

For my PIGskin Challenge this week I chose another great party idea from back in the day... Bacon Wrapped Tator Tots. I chose to keep it simple and just use the bacon and tator tot, possible additions are cheddar or American cheese and slices of jalapeno. Dipping sauce can be anything from ranch dressing to ketchup and hot sauce mixed together.
These were easy and tasty, I wouldn't hesitate to make them for a crowd.
And they were good at room temperature too, making them perfect party food.

Tator Tots
Bacon, I cut each slice into thirds, most call for cutting it in half-your choice
Dipping Sauce
  1. Let Tots sit out for about 15 minutes then wrap each one in a piece of bacon.
  2. Place seam side down on foil covered (for easier clean-up) baking sheet/dish. Some folks secure them with a toothpick first but I don't like how brown the toothpicks get in the oven. I did have a couple "blow outs" that came unwrapped, which I like to refer to as the Cook's treat:@).
  3. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is brown.
  4. Serve with whatever you'd like to dip them in, I used Bleu Cheese Dressing the day I made them.
Storm update: I went shopping for the first time this morning, while folks may have to stop at a couple different supermarkets we can get most things we need. I noticed no milk at Walmart, minimal frozen foods at ShopRite and meat was kept to a minimum everywhere. We have gasoline and while internet-TV-phones are intermittent things are slowly getting back to "normal" here North of Philly.
I am grateful.

Have a happy day:@)
