Eagles NFC East Pumpkin -Contest Entry

We decided to have a pumpkin contest at the office this year. It was the first time so nobody knew what to expect, but the rules were 'anything goes'. After kicking around two traditional Holiday icon ideas for a while I woke up Monday morning and knew exactly what I'd do...

HA, Go Birds!!!
I tied for 1st PlaceπŸŽƒ

I hope you all had a fun Halloween! Now, let's grab whatever marked down candy we might need for holiday baking season...

Have a great weekend:@)

Philadelphia Eagles Pumpkin & Free Stencil

My son had a volunteer pumpkin vine grow out of his compost bin this year. It was a very happy plant:@) He ended up with 15 pumpkins ranging in size from cantaloupe to about 10" round. Unfortunately the vine died before they all had a chance to get orange. But I saw an opportunity to carve an Eagles Green Jack-O-Lantern:@) What I didn't realize was, just how hard the green makes it to see the little dots to follow the outline of the design...

The pumpkins:

Never afraid to share a bloggy blooper... I had some carving issues, and the cheap little plastic etching tool was not a good idea after all. Wish I borrowed some of my son's wood working tools, they would have gone through the pumpkin like butter...

But warts and all,
the Philly Boo Crew approves:@)

Another logo option, as I was looking around I found some free stencils provided by the Eagles themselves HERE... There are small, medium and large sizes. All you need is a printer, or as I've done many times. simply place a piece of paper over your computer screen and trace the pattern.

Happy Halloween SeasonπŸŽƒ

Even though only $20 I did leave it for the next girl, my diva days are long gone-ha. I'm sure if I went back today they were all snatched up. Even my Philly store had a few other teams, you never know what you'll find. I say represent proudly, and...

Just Bare Chicken -Good stuff folks!

I live alone and as the years go by I seem to be more drawn to the idea of convenience food. Things that cut out just a bit of prep, and most importantly, a lot of clean up. Can anyone relate? I thought so:@) The issue is, unless your budget allows very high end products, sometimes the quality is lacking. Most of you know Buffalo Chicken is one of my favorite things. Nothing better than tossing some nuggets into the air fryer, slathering with sauce, cutting up some veggies, and calling it Saturday (or game day) lunch.
*Barbie's chicken is cut out of a sale ad... Just Bare needs to get ahold of the Mini Verse or Zuru people!

When it comes to chicken nuggets I've tried them all. Well, maybe not the dinosaur shaped ones, but all the rest-ha. I have finally found what I consider the most 'fried chicken' like nuggets. No extra spices, no funny after taste from the oil used in the breading, no excessive breading, and no ground up shaped mystery meat. Just whole white meat chicken breast cut to bite size appetizer pieces with a light breading.

As the angels sing...

Have you tried Just Bare Chicken Breast Bites? My co-worker grabbed me a big bag at Sam's Club, but they are also sold in 22-24 oz packs at regular supermarkets. Not inexpensive, but not excessively expensive either. They go on sale for about $8. 10-12 minutes in the air fryer and I have a hot protein that satisfies. **Please note, I am not affiliated with or being paid for this post. Just sharing something I've been enjoying. But as I shamelessly always say, if they want to send me a little somethin'-somethin', I eat a lot of chicken. Just sayin' :@)

Don't hesitate to give them a try folks, they also have strips and fillets. I like the bites for charcuterie, appy's and dipping. Maybe put out a bunch of different sauces for your next football party or get together. Also good on salads, tacos, or as a short cut for chicken parmesan. Anything goes!

Have a Happy Day:@)

Fall & Football Tiered Tray

It's football season folks! Popping in with my Fall and Philadelphia Eagles Football Tiered Tray. I picked up a new white rectangular tray from Aldi. It has lots of room for decorations and I love it on my table! Topped it with cute items gathered at various stores over the years, a crafted thing here and there...

And yep, a sign that says "Eagles Fans Only"-ha.
Here's hoping it's a great season:@)

Eagles Super Bowl T-Shirt and caveat emptor...

I treated myself to a new t-shirt to commemorate the second Eagles Super Bowl Win. I found this at Walmart and since I've said "Go Birds" about a million times in my life, it's perfect:@) Our parade is today, it's sunny, clear sky, windy, and very cold. But, it ~is~ February in Philly... I will wear my new shirt until it gives up the ghost!

What's the caveat emptor in the title? After the first win I decided to treat myself and stopped at one of those tents that pop up on the side of the road, and bought a shirt. Yep, they spelled Philadelphia wrong...

Ya get what ya pay for folks...
Celebrate every chance you get, and
Enjoy your weekend:@)

Easiest Football Snack Ever... GO BIRDS!!!

Presentation is everything folks... Team Color Jello Jigglers make the easiest kid friendly football munchie ever. Or, for an adult theme'd party, they can be deconstructed Jello Shots. I simply used a baking dish and cut them into squares. Is there still enough time to make them before the Big Game today? Absolutely. I put them outside in the 33 degree weather to set up quicker, they can also be put into the freezer for about 30 minutes, then finish firming up in the fridge.

Ha, Ha, just killing time before the game folks...

And as you're visiting thrift stores, there are specific sports molds floating around... I found this one back in 2015. Note: I'm tickled that this Jello Mold was for a Super Bowl that was held in New Orleans, just like today's game:@)

Cheer on your team and Have a Happy Day!

Super Bowl Babs... aka Tailgating Barbie & E-A-G-L-E-S!!!

I couldn't let the Eagles/Chiefs Super Bowl go by without a quick Barbie post... (Yep, that's Super Bowl 59, the same year Barbie was created.) When I found this cute Birthday Party set at Walmart, I just had to play:@) The story line: Cousin Rube opened the field at Peace and Pancakes Farm for a tailgating party to celebrate the Big Game, and Barbie arrived early to get her area set-up for the fun.

Finger food munchies, a cooler of cold beverages, and tomato pie is a fan favorite here in Philly. It's a type of pizza that can be served at room temperature.

And every tailgate needs cornhole
and a football to toss around...

The playset I found.
This would be so fun for a girl's birthday!

You know we're losing our minds here...
Everyone is so excited.

Bush's Best All-American Chili Recipe & Chili Round-Up

I've made several different Chili recipes over the years and think I'll continue on with trying the name brand ones when I find them... This Bush's Best All-American Chili is an easy recipe with minimal ingredients, and we start with a can of flavored beans. I found that the tomato paste makes this a nice thick stew with a robustly tomato flavor. It also calls for more green pepper than any other chili recipe I've seen. Of all the chili's I've had, I'd say this the least sweet, so if your crew is cutting back on sugar you might want to try it. Overall this is a nicely flavored, middle of the road chili that should appeal to most, and one that I might serve with hot sauce for heat lovers, and BBQ sauce for sweet lovers, on the side.
One last thing, I think there's enough sauce to stretch this a little further and add an extra can of rinsed beans of your choice. And I forgot the cheese againπŸ˜•

The recipe I saw on Pinterest:
Easily cut in half...

Cheesy Sausage Stuffing Balls -Three Ingredients

I've made the traditional Jimmy Dean Sausage Balls and I've made Stove Top Stuffing Meatballs. Both are very good. But these super easy three ingredient Cheesy Sausage Stuffing Balls are a combination of both, and honestly really-really good:@) They even get my Darn Good label. The whole time I was mixing them I kept asking myself what would be a good dipping sauce? Seriously, you don't need one. This is the absolute perfect football food and an amazing snack. Great hot and equally as good at room temperature. Do not hesitate to pick up what you need and whip up a batch folks, I think you will be pleased.
See those cheesy brown melty bits on the bottom? Yea, be sure to remove the meatballs with a spatula so you can enjoy them. You will thank me:@) Easy enough to cut recipe in half, or make a full batch, freeze the balls on parchment paper and then store in a freezer bag until you want to bake as many as you'd like.

Cheese Sausage Stuffing Balls Appetizer-from here
1 box Stove Top Chicken Stuffing
1 C boiling water
1lb tube Jimmy Dean sausage
3 C shredded cheddar cheese
  1. Add boiling water to stuffing mix. Stir, cover and allow stuffing to get soft and cool off.
  2. Mix stuffing, raw sausage and cheese well. Form tightly into 1" balls and cover and chill for at least 1 hour to overnight.
  3. Place sausage balls, not touching, on parchment lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until sausage is cooked through.
  5. Allow to sit once out of oven for a few minutes.
🏈Enjoy a new appetizer and

Game Day!!!

Even though it's not NFL licensed, I do love the look of my new football hoodie:@) And yes, I am very happy that the Eagles are actually, finally, playing on a Sunday. And even better, at my favorite time- 1PM! We'll be having a big ole pot of Pork Chop Stew and the boys will stay to watch some of the game. Sundays are good 'foodie fodder' days too, we may be trying a new sausage ball appy, stay tuned...

The shirt gives just enough of a hint
that everyone knows exactly who I root for:@)

Jelly Belly Candy Corn & Candy Corn through the years...

When I was a kid, my two favorite candies were jelly beans and candy corn... My co-worker found Jelly Belly Candy Corn! And it's good stuff folks, kind of like a higher end candy corn:@) And I like the size too, just a little smaller than traditional candy corn, making it great for decorating treats.

And then I was curious, what else have we done with Candy Corn here at PIM through the years? Plenty:@) Click for recipes and ideas...
