Chunky Bar Inspired Stuffed Celery

Here's another great idea for an easy party munchie or charcuterie board addition... These Chunky Bar Inspired Stuffed Celery Sticks combine all the great flavors of a favorite candy bar, while adding the refreshing cool crunch of celery. Good stuff folks. We have two options, either add both raisins and chocolate chips to the peanut butter, or, use Raisinets as I did here. This is a quick treat that the kids can help make, or even better... Make for themselves:@)

What to bring for Thanksgiving if you don't bake...

We all want to contribute a little something when we visit for the holidays, but let's face it folks, not everyone likes to bake. So I thought I'd do a little round-up of different ideas and links to recipes and my Pinterest Boards for inspiration. Sound like fun? Good:@) I think when we all hear of fudge we think fussy, and thermometers, and lot's of work. And yes, that fudge is amazing... But I'm here to say you can make some ~easy~ and darn good fudge by starting with a quality chocolate chip. I encourage you to try this Microwave Rum Raisin Fudge and it might just become your signature holiday dish...

And I don't think any hostess would mind you showing up with this Cranberry Meatball Appetizer. Just be sure it's already warm and in your own slow cooker ready to serve. Maybe you even bring some cute food picks... Perfect:@) Meatball Pinterest Board here.

With charcuterie still all the rage, how about some Holiday Stuffed Celery with cream cheese, bacon and dill. Easy and this variation is honestly really pretty:@) I've shared over 14 different stuffed celery variations, why not make a sweet and savory tray. Maybe cut them into 1" bite size pieces and again, add some food picks for serving.

And you probably already guessed I'd add Deviled Eggs:@) People kinda think they are a lot of work, but they do come together fairly quickly, especially if you use a disposable icing bag to fill the whites. Another tip: Easy Peel Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs Technique-it works! You could make your Grandmom's basic recipe, or add lots of additional flavors, or even make them silly looking. My Deviled Egg Pinterest Board has 73 ideas and continues to grow...

And speaking of silly... A personal favorite, Cranberry and Strawberry Jello Mold with Apple, Celery and Walnuts. Talk about a conversation starter:@) Just look at that gorgeous color folks... Oh my, tell me this doesn't scream the holidays... Or how about an orange colored Carrot and Pineapple one. My Jello Pinterest Board here.

Why not pick up a bag or two of candy corn while it's marked down and make some kiddy table party favors... These Turkey Toes are literally as easy as pouring candy into bags and adding ribbon-done. And they're sure to bring a giggle or two:@)

Or maybe you'd like to bring a quick no-sew project for the kids... These Holiday Aprons fit Barbie, Curvy Barbie, Ken, Action Figure Dolls ~and yes~ even Elf on the Shelf:@) I'd cut them out ahead of time and bring ribbon and embellishments for the kids to glue together-fun! And of course the fabric could be any design or color. My Barbie Pinterest Board here.

So there you have just a few ideas from almost 14 years of blogging. My Recipe Index shares everything I've made broken down by category if you have something specific in mind. And I do have a Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday Food and Desserts Board here. I hope you find something new to make!

Everything Bagel Stuffed Celery -Charcuterie or Appetizer Tray

As soon as I saw a new bottle of seasoning at Dollar Tree I just had to add this Everything Bagel Stuffed Celery to my relish tray. I've mentioned before that a stuffed celery appetizer tray can be a very affordable dish to bring to a party, will serve a ton of people, and it can be savory and/or sweet. One inch bite size pieces are perfect for popping into the mouth, and colorful food picks can help add to the fun too:@)

My inspiration:

Celery Stick Appetizer Tray -Are You on Team Savory or Team Sweet?

I've been talking about it for years folks, a Celery Stick Appetizer Tray can be a very economical contribution to bring to a party. Whether it's a holiday, ~or~ your favorite team just happens to be headed to the Super Bowl:@) I like the idea of one inch-one bite munchies, just big enough to pick up with a food pick and pop into the mouth. The fastest way to stuff the celery? By using a disposable icing bag, or you could try snipping the corner off of a sandwich bag. The icing bag will be sturdier. I just used a butter knife this time.

The new flavor combination for this post,
Olive and Cream Cheese Stuffed Celery
Two ingredient mixture,
cream cheese and pimento stuffed green olives.
My crew loved this one!

Plenty of sweet ~and~ savory options,
a little something for everyone:@)

Olive and Cream Cheese Stuffed Celery
  1. Celery, washed and dried.
  2. Cream cheese to chopped olive ratio = approximately half and half, start with less olives, adjust to taste.
  3. Gently mix softened cheese and olives, stuff celery.
  4. Cut to desired length.
  5. Cover and chill until ready to serve.
Celery Stick Appy Tray-Other Stuffing Options:

Buffalo Chicken

Boursin or Alouette Cheese Spread Stuffed Celery

Continuing on with my suggestion that a mixed celery stick tray can make a fun, and different, appetizer for parties or the holidays... These Boursin or Alouette Cheese Stuffed Celery Sticks are really, really, good folks:@) I used the garlic and herb variety. They'd be the perfect savory addition to your appy platter, add some Nutty Buddy Stuffed Celery for the sweet side:@) Both easy to make, and if for a party, I'd make them bite size and serve with fun food picks.
I stirred the cheese to mix it well,
and added it to a disposable icing bag to easily fill the celery.
Too easy!

Nutty Buddy Celery Stick Appetizer

Who doesn't love the peanut butter and chocolate combo? Honestly folks, I know it's not easy coming up with a new idea for parties or holiday get-togethers. I think stuffed celery is something most people just don't think about, but it's economical, and can be flavored savory or sweet... These Nutty Buddy Celery Appys are a twist on traditional ants on a log. May I suggest taking a tray of all kinds of different flavors to your next gathering, it will appeal to both kids and adults alike. I know we all enjoyed these with Sunday dinner this week:@)

Other stuffed celery options:

Boursin type cheese spread, cream cheese, peanut butter, and/or peanut butter with raisins.

Holiday Stuffed Celery -Cream Cheese, Bacon and Dill Pickles & Celery Appetizer Tray

This Holiday Stuffed Celery is cool, crunchy, creamy, salty, puckery and over all, a very nice addition to your relish tray! Especially if you're a dill pickle lover... Use the recipe as a guide, it doesn't have to be 100% exact. Approximately one third generously filled 5 large stalks of celery. I only had dried parsley, it worked fine and added some dark green color, but I would have preferred to mince up some fresh if the store had it. If you're looking for something a little different for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner this year, may I suggest trying some stuffed celery! Or how about bringing a Celery Appetizer Tray... These with pickles and bacon, some with plain cream cheese, some with peanut butter and some with peanut butter and raisins. Now that's different with a retro feel, and a little something to please everyone:@)
Tip: I added the mixture to a disposable icing bag,
cut a hole in the tip and it made quick work of filling the celery.
Leftover mixture? That would make one very perky bagel:@)
