Includes a couple more recipes for the last of the cukes from the garden.
Larger cherry tomatoes would be perfect for appys.
How about some different Salsas to choose from:
Mustard Dill Cucumber Salad-A little different and very pretty!
Shish-Ka-Bobs are always fun and this post links to a few different flavor combinations:
BBQ Roasted Nuts-Everyone loves munchies!
Red, White and Blue Cake-The coconut decoration could be used on any cake
and the tri-colored cake is easy if you have a checkerboard cake pan.
And if there's a little girl in your life, how about making a cute new Patriotic Barbie Dress.
This one whips up in no time and any blue yarn would work for the bottom few rows.
Have fun this holiday weekend folks!
They all look yummy but I'm zeroing in on number one. I'm always looking for tasty ways to use up celery that I've purchased for other dishes.

ReplyDeleteYou've shared some really great ideas, Lynn....I would love to try the cucumber one (sans the hot peppers) if I can find a giardiniera mild enough. Some of those are even too hot for me.
ReplyDeleteI am coveting your beautiful vintage ruffled dish, big time!! I have one with similar ripples but not the clear edge that makes yours so pretty. It is so true...we eat with our eyes first.
I hope you have a relaxing holiday weekend...you deserve it!!
