Fall Cloche Party!

Hi everyone! I'm happy to be joining Marty today for the Fall Cloche Party and Arty for Vignette FridayThe alternate title to this post is "Hoo Me?". You may have heard me mention that I'm a Christmas ornament addict, yep it's true. *head hanging in shame* I kid(?) my sons that the ornaments are their inheritance:@)  My biggest weakness being birds that clip to the top of branches.
But sometimes it comes in handy-like today!

The owl is from Poland and has a clip on the bottom.
I wanted to use natural elements in my vignette so I walked down to the creek with my clippers and a bag.
Little berries, acorns and the last of the Queen Anne Lace.
I gave a packet of pumpkin seeds to one of the guys at work,
and he brought me this pumpkin from his garden-thanks Tom!
Please be sure to check out what everyone else is up to!
Have a happy day:@)

  10. Lynn, me too! Christmas is my favorite time of year and I have so many ornaments on my tree, that one year the whole tree fell over. But the tree looks so beautiful that way. I mean covered in ornaments... not on the floor. :-) And I have a ton of birds just like you. I hope you will share some more ornament pics when the holidays roll around.

  15. Hi Lynn!

Cute pumpkin. Your cloche is wonderful.

Jordan's birthday is December 23 and he gets a Christmas ornament each year for one of his gifts. Have you ever been to Frankenmuth? It's a must for Christmas enthusiasts. Jordan and I will be visiting weekend after next.

    Have a great day! La

  21. Hi Lynn, Now I know why you like my owl,Hootie! Your little "Hoo Me" could be my little guy's pal! LOL I sure didn't think to go to my stash of Xmas ornaments to find things for my cloches. But then, the piles of boxes they're in are waaay too daunting! Glad that you reaped the benefits of your generosity to your friend. :-)

  24. Yep, I get the whole Christmas ornament addict thingy too!! Maybe someday I will post Santa's workshop which is what my family calls the attic where I keep the stash! I have some clip-ons, but I find they are hard to keep upright (maybe too much Christmas punch), but my real weaknesses are snowmen and little houses! We have quite a few owls too as my son was very intrigued by them when he was little! I never thought of putting them in a cloche but maybe this year...maybe a few new ones could go in it... Linda

  31. Ohhhh we must be distant kin. I love clip on birds too! My favorite is a peacock with a very thin neck. I know that one year I will open up its box and it will be crying time lol. Cute owl!

  32. Oooh... I LOVE the owl and the different textures inside the cloche. I have an idea for something similar now ... hmmm... I am an ornament fiend myself, collecting since I was 16 and I'm ALWAYS looking for ways to display them other than on the tree. So... now I have to get another cloche so I can copy your idea in my own way. Just wait until my husband sees all the cloches, lanterns and terrariums come into the house. Uggh...

  38. That looks wonderful, Lynn! That worked out well with the owl. How nice of your co-worker to bring you a pumpkin from the seeds you gave him. If you haven't done so, you might want to either get rid of the acorns or bake them in the oven. I have no experience wih it myself, but I understand you could have a bug issue if you don't.
