Firecracker Cherry Meatball Appetizer -Slow Cooker, Oven, or Stove Top

I'm calling this appy Firecracker Cherry Meatballs because it has just a touch of heat from cinnamon and cayenne pepper, while the cherry pie filling adds a little sweet to tame that heat... This is an easy appetizer that can be tossed together in the Crock Pot, or heated any way you'd like, even just in the microwave if you use cooked frozen meatballs.

Firecracker Cherry Meatball Appetizer
16-24 oz frozen meatballs
15 oz can cherry pie filling
1 tsp sugar-or more to taste
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper-or more, you know your crowd
  • Slow Cooker: Add to vessel, stir to mix. Place paper towels under lid, cook on high for 2 1/2 hours or until meatballs are hot. Remove lid and stir to serve.
  • Oven: Add to bakeware, stir to mix. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until meatballs are hot. Stir and serve.
  • Stove Top: Add to pot, stir to mix. Heat slowly until meatballs are hot. Stir and serve.

  1. Wow! How wonderful that all the ingredients were found at the Dollar Tree! The meatballs sound really yummy and I'll be looking for those sparkly picks, too.
