Tomato and Parmesan Meatball Appetizer -Little Dipper Slow Cooker or Larger

The idea behind these Tomato and Parmesan Meatballs was to make a tomato sauce that's extra thick and would stick to the meatballs instead of dripping off... Making it less messy for a grab and go appy. Mission accomplished:@) I used my Little Dipper Crock Pot, I think this would make enough sauce for up to 14oz of meatballs. Simply double, etc for larger slow cookers.

Just a quick review,
the little dipper is the dip size crock pot that holds about 2 C.

Tomato and Parmesan Meatball Appetizer
at least 7 oz frozen meatballs, or enough to fill Little Dipper Crock Pot
8 oz can tomato sauce
1 Tblsp tomato paste
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning/herbs
2 Tblsp parmesan cheese-divided
few grinds black pepper
  1. Mix everything ~except reserve 1 Tblsp parmesan cheese~ .
  2. Pour into slow cooker vessel.
  3. Place paper towel under lid, cook on low 6 hours, or high 3-4 hours. Or just plug Little dipper in for about 3 hours.
  4. When meatballs are hot and before serving, stir in last Tblsp of parmesan cheese.
  5. Serve with fun food picks.
Enjoy and snack and have a happy day:@)

  3. I love appetizers as a meal, Lynn. I can see dipping bread in the sauce, too.
