Whether it's for the holidays, a football party, veggie platter, charcuterie tray, or ~any ole day~... You can't go wrong with these Boursin or Alouette Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes! They are pretty and bursting with big flavor, I used the garlic and herb variety of cheese. While they do require a little prep, a sharp knife makes quick work of it:@) As for presentation, some folks may suggest cutting a little off of the bottom of the tomato to help them stand up. I kinda see that as making things wetter and messier. I suggest arranging on platter, aiming for cheese pointing up, trying to corral as best you can, but accept that they'll roll around. Serve with fun toothpicks or food picks to avoid messy fingers-done.
End of season tomatoes from my raised bed garden:@)
Boursin or Alouette Cheese Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes
- Cut stem end straight off with sharp knife. Use knife to cut center and scoop some of the seeds out.
- Stir cheese and spoon into disposable icing bag or sandwich bag. Snip end off and squeeze cheese into each tomato. Use as much cheese as you'd like, you know your crowd...
- For extra fancy presentation (especially at Christmas), sprinkle tops with ~very finely minced~ parsley.
- Serve with fun food picks.
Enjoy a snack and have a happy day:@)
