Two Ingredient Queso Dip -Little Dipper Crock Pot -Slow Cooker

I've heard from people saying they'd like to see more Little Dipper Crock Pot recipes, well, it doesn't get much easier than this Two Ingredient Queso Dip folks. Simply drop some cream cheese and salsa verde into a slow cooker, let it heat up for a couple hours, stir, and serve. If you'd like to bump it up another notch, you could stir in some very well drained green chiles at the end. I had a can and did add them to use them up. I don't believe it changed the flavor much, just added a tad more texture. We were all in agreement, very easy, very mild, and a very nice game day snack:@)

The salsa verde I used:
Salsa, cream cheese and tortilla chips from Walmart = A substantial party snack for less than $3:@)
Want to make a larger batch?
I read the Little Dipper's heat is equivalent to the warm setting on slow cookers...
As I always say, it's best to make a test batch while you're home and can keep an eye on it.

Two Ingredient Queso Dip
For each 8 oz cream cheese:
7 oz salsa verde-I added all but about a Tblsp. Hold it out and thin dip if desired at the end.
Optional: 4 oz can green chiles, drained well (I pressed all the liquid out by pushing the lid down into the can).
  1. Add cream cheese and salsa to Little Dipper Crock Pot.
  2. Place paper towels under the lid, plug in and heat for 2 hours.
  3. Remove lid (making sure condensation does not run back into slow cooker). Whisk, if it doesn't get smooth replace lid and cook for another 15-20 minutes, whisk again. Tip: Those little silicone covered whisks at Dollar Tree work great and don't scratch or mark ceramic vessels.
  4. If using chiles, stir in before serving.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips.
Snack well and have a happy day:@)

  2. That’s super easy and thrifty, too! I’ll look for that Salsa Verde.

  3. An acquaintance gave me a recipe for crab dip once, that was equal parts cream cheese, salsa, & imitation crab. We tried it, but don't like seafood. However, Crabless Crab Dip had been a staple for almost 20 years now!
