I immediately saved this Slow Cooker Cheeseburger Dip because I knew half of the recipe would fit into my Little Dipper Crock Pot. I also knew it would be well received by my crew so I didn't change one thing about the recipe ingredients. I did however, not add the reserved cheese. The plan was to add it after about 1 1/2 hours so I could get everything melty and mixed nicely first, but, um, I forgot. We didn't miss it. This is such a filling and comforting dip. Just perfect for the cold days of winter (read: the playoffs), and one that just might tempt you to opt out of dinner for noshing:@)
A quick pic before we dug in:
Half recipe works in Little Dipper.
Slow Cooker Cheeseburger Dip-from Taste of Home
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
8 oz cream cheese
2 C shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 Tblsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp yellow mustard
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 medium tomato, chopped
1/4 C dill pickles, chopped
Tortilla chips, potato chips with ridges, or crackers for serving
- Cook ground beef and onion until no longer pink, break up into fine crumbles.
- Transfer to greased 1.5-3 quart slow cooker. Add cream cheese, 1 1/2 C cheddar, Worcestershire, mustard and S&P.
- Stir a bit, sprinkle with remaining cheese, cover (I placed a paper towel under the lid), cook on low for 2 hours or until heated through and cheese has melted.
- Top with tomatoes and pickles before serving.
Enjoy a snack and have a happy day:@)
