Saturday ReView: Trunk-or-Treating with Barbie and Bones & Captain Crunch Berries Krispy Marshmallow Treats

Barbie and Bones loaded up the Jeep and headed to the farm for a little trunk-or-treating! They brought lots of goodies and a few friends for the trip:@) It was an amazing fall day and the trees were at peak color. They got the tailgate all set-up and campfire going right before the sun began to set.

Trick-or-treaters will be thrilled to choose from a basket of apples or a tray of candy and donuts.
Well... Whatever's left of the donuts anyway😮

Kelly sees some friends from school and waves for them to come over to the Jeep...
Red camping lantern is a Walmart mini ornament (pack of 3), I just took the Christmas greens off.

Bones says Halloween is fun for kids of all ages!

Bones is a perfect 12" tall and came from Amazon in a little box of pieces like a puzzle:

I wanted to try a different krispy treat, and yes, I know what you're thinking...
Oh yea, that's what Captain Crunch needed... More sugar!!!
But I found a small bag of Crunch Berries at Dollar Tree and it was the perfect size for a half batch.
Sprinkles added a little orange and black, and wa-la, we had a colorful seasonal snack:@)

The bag of cereal I used, 3.9 oz from Dollar Tree, just use the whole pack.

Captain Crunch Berries Krispy Treats-Half Batch
5 oz mini marshmallows
2 Tblsp butter
3 C cereal-use whole bag from Dollar Tree, scoop out so you don't get the crumbs
Sprinkles or colored sugar for top if desired
  1. Melt butter and marshmallows over low heat, stirring often.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in cereal, coat well with melted marshmallows.
  3. Press into a parchment lined 9x5 loaf pan. Gently flatten top by pressing it down with another piece of parchment.
  4. Add sprinkles or colored sugar to top if using.
  5. Allow to cool and set for at least an hour. Cut into pieces and serve.
🎃Happy Halloween Everyone, have a spooky sweet happy day:@)
