Christmas Clearance, Thinking Ahead...

I was at the Walmart bright and early this morning, along with about 100 other people:@) My goal wasn't so much getting things for Christmas as it was finding Christmas items I could use for other holidays... I love these clip-on owls, funky green ornaments and glittered stars for my Halloween tree!

Also stopped by Norman's in the mall where Christmas Yankee Candles were 50% off. Pinecone & Lime is new to me, it has a nice light fragrance!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and gets to enjoy a relaxing long weekend!
What are you making with the leftover ham??? Anyone have a recipe for ham cakes?

Have a happy day:@)

  3. Hope your Christmas was merry, Lynn! Looks like you found some good bargains. I've never heard of that Yankee candle either, but sounds nice. I can't help you out with ham cakes, but I'm sure you'll find a good recipe. I used to make a ham loaf that was really good, if you'd like that recipe I'll send it to you.
    Enjoy your time off!

  5. You found some treasures! I debated going into the mall when I drove by, but the line in the turning lane was daunting---maybe next year! Heading out of town for a couple weeks in case you don't hear from me :) Happy New Year!

  6. I really love what you found, Lynn! I had wanted to go to Home Depot or to order from them, but I decided to wait. I was afraid to get out in the crowds. Didn't want to get sick.

Actually, I bought things in the before Christmas sales for "Next Year". ;-) I am thinking ahead as I had to curtail my activities this year. I figured if I do it ahead it will mean less stress and more time to enjoy the holiday, right? I hope so anyhow. ;-)

Love to you and all the best wishes for the season!

  7. Hubby was out early this morning looking for large flashing balls for outdoor tree, tissue paper and cards. He found them all, what a great guy. I had to work. :(. Love your finds for the Halloween tree, I need to get with it and do that tree for other occasions this year!! Ham and beans for us, hubby's favorite and considering he was shopping for me today, I can't say no. Happy New Year!

  11. Love those fun owl ornaments Lynn! I made off with my MIL's ham bone and a large slab of ham for a pot of soup in January. :)

  13. Many sales around here but I refuse to buy another Christmas decor item.....I have many I didn't even use this year. As I pack things away, I am putting the excess ones into a large plastic tub...then, as grands get married, they can pick out some items to use in their first home.
