Christmas Bread

I've been making this Christmas Bread forever, it's full of cheerful colors and big seasonal flavors! Maraschino cherries, carrots, coconut and cloves come together for a loaf of quick bread that's perfect with tea or coffee. And mini-loaves make great gifts too:@)
Cooled and wrapped well this is even better the next day!

  1. It looks so moist and colorful Lynn! Would be so cute in paper loaf pans as gifts :)

  2. Hi Lynn! The bread looks and sounds delicious! When I was a kid I used to love maraschino cherries but I haven't had one in quite a while and now you've given me a good reason to get some. I like the idea of using applesauce -- it must be so moist! Linda

  3. Looks good and sounds healthy. I like the texture.

  4. this is soooo pretty! I love that it tastes even better the next day!

  5. Your Christmas loaf is so colorful and beautiful, Lynn!

  6. I can just taste it. Nice photo.

  7. My youngest son loves maraschino cherries and I know he would love this loaf. It makes for a pretty bread for Christmas time. xo

  8. Oh yum! This looks so much easier than fruitcake, too.

  9. Lynn, this reminds me of the Christmas loaf my mom used to make. This would be wonderful with a cup of tea or with coffee in the morning. YUMMY!

  10. I always love the moistness of this kind of cake. Thanks for the applesauce reminder.

  11. Lynn, I know I will love this. Looks pretty as well.

  12. Okay, now I'm the one waving my hand :) This looks wonderful. I've never made Christmas bread, such a yummy combination of ingredients!

  13. I thought at first it was meatloaf! This would be a good compromise at our house. My husband likes fruitcake and I don't. I think we would both like this and it really is pretty.

  14. I love quick breads and yours with the 3 C's looks amazing!!! Perfect for the holidays!

  15. It looks like a wonderful cake!
We don't celebrate Christmas but it would be perfect for our coming holiday next month :)
