How about a decadent little birthday treat. these Peanut Butter Bon-Bons do require a little work, but will be well worth it in the end:@) This happened to be an October birthday so I used seasonally colored sprinkles, and of course they could be for any holiday, or just ~any ole~ day...
Peanut Butter Bon-Bons
*I made a half batch
1/4 C butter, softened
4oz cream cheese, softened
1 C peanut butter, smooth or chunky
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 C powdered sugar or up to 2 C if needed
Candy melts or chocolate for coating
Sprinkles for decoration if desired-but recommended:@)
- Cream butter, cream cheese and peanut butter.
- Mix in vanilla.
- Add powdered sugar 1/2 C at a time until mixed well. If not thick enough, gradually add the extra 1/2 C powdered sugar but remember it will firm up in the fridge.
- Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll into balls and place on wax paper. (If you feel it's too soft to shape, place in freezer for about 10 minutes.)
- Melt candy melts or chocolate, dip bon-bons, place on wax paper.
- Add sprinkles if desired.
- Cover and put in fridge to firm up.
Have a happy day:@)

ReplyDeleteYou and Earl know how to host a party. I have a weakness for peanut butter, and when it's made into bon bons, coated with white chocolate, and festooned with sprinkles, I'm in foodie heaven...(I won't say hog heaven around Earl). Then you topped it off with a peach martini. This is the life! Thanks so much for this birthday celebration and the delicious food! xxoo
