Bourbon Whiskey Meatballs-Crock Pot or Oven

Oh yes, I said bourbon and oh yes, it adds great flavor! This recipe for Bourbon Whiskey Meatballs calls for pretty basic ingredients (provided you have a bottle of bourbon on hand-you know, for BBQ sauces:@) I love the sticky sweet thick sauce, it's one of the best I've ever added to meatballs! The original recipe is made in a crock pot, I made mine in the oven.
This a real crowd pleaser folks, don't hesitate to give it a try for a football party or the holidays!

Holiday Bourbon Whiskey Meatballs-from TastyKitchen
1 lb frozen meatballs
1/2 C ketchup
1/2 C brown sugar, packed
1/4 C bourbon whiskey
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  1. Mix everything except meatballs.
  2. Add frozen meatballs to crock pot or baking dish, pour sauce over and mix well.
  3. If using crock pot: turn up to high for one hour, stirring a few times. Then turn to low until ready to serve.
  4. If using oven: Mix everything, cover dish in foil and place in preheated 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Remove foil, stir and bake for 20 minutes more, stir and serve.
  5. Cute toothpicks optional... but highly recommended:@)
