I can smell football in the air!!!
Jalapenos, 2-2 1/2", cleaned
Chicken, shredded
Your favorite wing or hot sauce
Small amount of butter-I use about 1/4 tsp per Tblsp of hot sauce
Panko breadcrumbs for top
- Bake the cleaned jalapenos at 375 for 8 minutes, remove from oven.
- Since I was using a hot sauce I heated it with the butter in a pan on the stove to reduce it and make it a little thicker. Wing sauce would be thick enough already.
- I used enough sauce to coat the meat and make it moist.
- Stuff the peppers with meat.
- Sprinkle the top with panko.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then finish them for just a couple minutes under the broiler (not too long though you don't want them to dry out).
- Serve with celery and bleu cheese dressing.
looks and sounds great! we love both pepper and "hot wings" as we call them. this will be tried out at my house soon! Carol
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is yum!! These look delicious, and I love buffalo chicken!! Must try making them!!
ReplyDeleteMmmm...I love hot and spicy. These look so delicious!
ReplyDeleteWowsers, that's a real winner, Lynn!! You are right, this is a perfect appetizer for football season. My family will love these and no wing bones. Yea!!!
ReplyDeleteYummy!!! I love a little spicy so these would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteOH! YUM! Gotta try these.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of chicken wings (because I don't like eating meat off the bones:)) but I do like jalapeno poppers and chicken so these sound really yummy!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI am also not fond of bones with chicken meat (chicken wings). But thats a way, I would love them. Thank you for the yummy recipe.
Best greetings, Johanna
You had me at 'jalapeno'. Gosh how I love these hot little things!
ReplyDeleteLynne, your home must be just like ours! We smell football in the air too and my husband has already watched every single pre-season game that's been played (alongside of the Olympic games). And that's all we've been thinking about. I so love anything buffalo and it seems to be the flavor of the year! Stuffed in hot jalapeƱos sounds tremendous! Printing right now!
ReplyDeleteoops, I apologize for the typo above with your name, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteMy husband will love these.
ReplyDeleteBuffaloes aren't chicken, they are actually big and brave - but I bet even they shudder at the idea of being stuffed with jalapenos! I'll pass on this one, but you do make it look yummy.
ReplyDeleteYum! Perfect football (or not) fare!!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
These look amazing...gotta try 'em.
ReplyDeleteYay! A great way to combine two of my favorite appetizers! Thanks, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
They look so good! You come up with the best stuffing for jalapeno's!
ReplyDeleteThis might be too hot for me!!! I like the cheese stuffed poppers, though. Cream cheese is my salvation when it comes to eating those!
ReplyDeleteLynn~ My hubby would love these and a lot less messy than wings :)
ReplyDeleteI love buffalo sauce on anything and this looks delicious and firey! I need to give it a try!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great weekend and thank you so much for sharing your awesome recipe with Full Plate Thursday.
