Jello Jigglers Jack-O-Lantern

I think Jello is fun! This Jello Jigglers Jack-O-Lantern couldn't be easier and came together in no time. Well, no working time, it does need a few hours to set-up in the fridge:@) The hardest part was figuring out what to make the face out of, I rolled some Tootsie Rolls thin, other options might be using fruit roll-ups or flattening those fruit slice gelled candies. Fruity flavors might work best for little kids and there are fruity Tootsie Rolls. When it's time to serve, simply remove the features and cut it into squares.
I used a Corelle soup bowl, just to give you an idea of the size.
Putting the unwrapped Tootsie Rolls in the microwave for about 8 seconds makes them easier to roll flat.
While you can cut the features out ahead of time, you'll want to place them on the Jello right before you serve it.

This vintage 1952 Jello ad was my inspiration.
Six flavors... oh how times have changed!

Jello Jigglers Jack-O-Lantern
  1. Place two (4 serving size) packs of orange Jello in mixing bowl.
  2. Add one cup of boiling water, mix well to dissolve Jello.
  3. Add one cup cold water, mix well.
  4. Pour into a bowl that has been sprayed with cooking spray then wiped out a little bit.
  5. Place in fridge to set.
  6. Unmold onto a serving platter. I dipped the bottom of the bowl in hot water for a minute then wiped the bowl dry before turning upside down.
  7. Make a face with candy, fruit roll ups, whipped cream, etc.
  8. After everyone has giggled... slice and serve.
Scare up a little fun and have a happy day:@)
