Corn on the Cob with Chipotle Powder- and several more ideas for summer corn

I picked up my first corn of the year (not local...) but it was beautiful and sweet! Driving home I planned to enjoy it with nothing more than butter, salt and pepper but got to thinking... This Corn on the Cob with Chipotle Powder was great! If you like a little smoky heat, don't hesitate to sprinkle some on. See that ear on the bottom without it? Yea, it didn't stay like that for long:@)

Now, I know not everyone likes things spicy hot,
so here are a few more fun ideas to add a little twist to a warm weather favorite-enjoy!

  3. I love me some corn on the cob, Lynn. I'm glad you found some good ears already. My first ones that I bought were pretty, but not too tasty. Chipotle seasoning is a spice that I would love on my corn.

  4. I'm not just saying this for dramatic purposes: My mouth really did start to water a little with just the pictures. I'm such a huge corn fan.
(Note that I resisted the urge to call myself "corny". )

  8. I'm so hungry for good corn and our local season is several months away. Love the idea of seasoning an ear with chipotle. That would add a nice smoky zip to it. Now you've made me hungry for corn, Lynn. Great pictures!

  14. Your gorgeous veggie photos have me literally drooling Lynn, there is nothing better in my book than freshly picked corn! Alabama Silver Queen is so sweet it needs absolutely nothing, but we can only get it for a short time in early summer. I will take corn any way any time and I can't wait to try your chipotle version, it looks very tasty!

  16. HI Lynn, Your pictures are perfect; they make this corn look SO good!! We had dinner with my parents last night and my mom served some fresh corn mixed with some frozen corn from last summer. She cut hers off the cob; anyway, it tasted so good to me. I'm looking forward to local corn season this summer! :) Thanks for sharing your corn recipes with us and have a great weekend!
