Horseradish Cheddar Cheese Ball

I love horseradish and always look for more ways to use it, this cheese ball is tasty! The recipe comes from an advertisement in Food Network magazine. The horseradish and Worcestershire make it zesty.
Pictured is half a batch.
I think it would be very good with celery, now I didn't try it with celery (not with crackers around)...
but I think it would be good:@)
And as with most cream cheese based spreads, any leftovers are great on a bagel!

Horseradish Cheddar Cheese Ball-from entwine-wines.com
1 (8oz) package cream cheese, softened
3/4 C sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2 Tblsp onion, finely chopped
1 Tblsp horseradish
2 Tblsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled-go ahead and add another slice, you know you want to:@)
1/3 C toasted walnuts, chopped-I had pecans
Assorted veggies and crackers for serving
  1. Mix both cheeses, onion, horseradish, 1 Tblsp parsley, Worcestershire, salt to taste and 1/4 tsp pepper.
  2. Form into a ball (or log), wrap in plastic wrap and place in fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Roll formed ball (or log) in bacon, nuts and remaining 1 Tblsp parsley.
  4. Remove from fridge 30 minutes before serving.
Have a happy day:@)

  1. This looks soooo good. I bet it wouldn't be bad on a baked potato either. It's a great munchie to bring to a party too.

  4. Yum. Horseradish is great, isn't it? My neighbor puts some in his jars of pickles for an added kick. And it's what MAKES my hubby's cocktail sauce.

    1. Kinda funny, I opened a brand new bottle of horseradish and didn't find any heat at all. The best word I can use is "tangy":@)
