Cardinal Stained Glass

Hi everyone! I'm happy to be joining Metamorphosis Monday, Just Something I Whipped UpTable Top Tuesday and REDnesday with my stained glass cardinal panel that I bring out for Christmas and winter!
I drew the pattern myself using a bird calendar for inspiration.
This little fluffy guy is at the feeder as the snow starts falling, you can click on it for a better view.
The light gray background is wavy and reminds me of the wind, the border actually looks like frost.
This is a piece that is unique in that you can't make it without a saw to cut the circles for the snow drops.
Stained glass projects start out with pencil and paper and this:
Have a happy day:@)

  14. Hello Lynn,
I am enthralled about this wonderful panel. You have made an artist job. I love stained glass and I have tried to made a panel as well. But I wasn't sucessful. One need a special knowledge and a lot of skill to cut glass in wanted shapes. And not only the perfect cut is necessary but also an eye for the direction of the structure and the colors. Your cardinal panel is just wonderful in every detail.
Thank you so much for sharing.
    Greetings, Johanna
