White for Halloween?

Hey everyone! I hope you are getting into fall and the fun side of Halloween!
After Christmas last year I picked up a cheap white 3 foot Christmas tree at Rite Aid, about $2. It had those flimsy branches that you really can't hang anything on, but the white color caught my eye. So I brought it home and started twisting the branches together, 3 or 4 at a time.
I ended up with something similar to a feather tree, but I could add lights and ornaments.
Years ago Target had a set of glass Trick or Treater ornaments,
I was thrilled to be able to start collecting ornaments for another holiday:@)
I've always used my 28" hand crafted feather tree, but this year I thought I'd do something different.
The photos aren't great-have to use the flash, but do get clearer if you click on them.

I made this cute tree skirt for my feather tree.
I love the word embellishment and beading! The letter beads spell out: Happy Halloween, the witch is in, trick or treat, fun, spooky, cider, candy and gobblin. This pic was on my work table in the studio.
I set my little feather tree up for all of the holidays except Christmas, and really enjoy it!
I'm joining the following parties:
Tabletop Tuesday
Spooky Monday
Three or More Tuesday
Toot Your Horn Tuesday

  7. I think a white tree is a wonderful solution to a black and orange holiday, makes everything pop. for several years I have had this thing for white pumpkins too but now blue is the up and coming color, if only they didn't really look gray.
I look forward to the pumpkin party. Thanks for letting me know.

  9. Hi! That is such a great idea! My kids, especially would have so much fun with that, although they would probably never actually leave the ornaments on the tree! :-)

  12. I seriously considered getting out my X-mas tree and start decorating it for Fall and Halloween. Then I opted not to, as my house would feel cluttered. Those are the cutest little ornaments on your fun little tree.

  25. That is too cute! I thought about doing a link party around Christmas time bout people's unique tree's and this would certainly qualify. My aunt use to put up a "Booze Tree" that was a mini tree covered in the single serve alcohol bottles and mini wine glasses.

  27. Sending a sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm. I just love what you have done with that little white tree - it's just adorable! You know, I'm not necessarily a fan of anything beyond a jack-o-lantern for Halloween, but I think that your tree is just precious! I'm constantly amazed at the wonderful ideas I get to read about on blogs like yours. Thanks, and have a great day! Ciao, bella!
