There's a pretty famous jeweler here in Philadelphia named Steven Singer. Quite a few years ago he started marketing ~gold dipped real roses~ for Valentine's Day. Not only are they beautiful, they last a lifetime! Ken thought that was a pretty good bang for his buck and picked one up for Barbie this year:@) Since he was feeling rather smug with his gift choices he asked her to cover her eyes as he came through the door... She was thrilled!!!
Although she does admit to peeking a bitπ
My rose is a button with jewelry wire as the stem and leaf.
This button wasn't solid, it had holes in the center of the petals...
I added some shiny gold from a gift bow to the back of the button and leaf for the pictures.
The stem and leaf were spray painted matt gold.
DIY candy heart from foam and beads here.
I used a red bell pepper to help create these fun Valentine's Day ♥Heart♥ Deviled Eggs. Whip up your favorite deviled egg recipe and simply embellish a bit by using small heart cookie cutters or carefully free-handing the heart shapes with a knife. This is an easy treat, loved by adults and kids alike, and it's fairly healthy too:@)
πMake something just for fun and-
Have a Happy Valentine's Day Weekend:@)
How cute! And Ken is adorable with his Valentine gifts! Happy Valentine's Day!
