Saturday ReView: Leftover Turkey Chili, Knit Barbie Vest Pattern & Vintage Jewel Brite Ornaments

I was tickled to find these Jewel Brite Ornaments at the thrift store the other day, had to share:@) They were only 79¢ a piece. They are in amazing shape, especially with the pristine tinsel in the center. My favorite is the hard plastic poinsettia:@) Both have a shiny back, either red or gold. They go well with the ones I found back in 2014 here.

If you want to make an easy dinner that's totally different with your leftover Thanksgiving turkey, this White and Red Turkey Chili with Rotel is great! Truly perfect with turkey but I like it so much that I've made it with chicken too. This recipe was actually my inspiration to start the 'darn good' label on the blog... Yep, I like it that much:@)

And if you're looking for an extra little gift for your girl's Barbie this Christmas, these Knit Vests whip up in no time. There are several variations and each one will look different depending on the type of yarn you use. It's also a nice project to help teach your girl to knit.

Have a great weekend:@)

  2. The vests are so cute, Lynn! I love those vintage ornaments, too. You sure find great things while thrifting. I’m going to make your chili. I have a white chili recipe that I like, but this with the Rotel sounds extra tasty.
