Thanksgiving Turkey Pie Crust Decoration

You may have heard that apple pie is the crowd favorite here at Pig In Mud. While it is great, it doesn't do much for blog fodder... So every once in a while I try to decorate the pie in a different way, I think this Thanksgiving Turkey Pie Crust Decoration turned out cute! If you want something more colorful you could sprinkle the feathers with some colored sugar.
   It got gobbled up:@)

Another fun Thanksgiving pie decorating idea:

A Crow Among the Leaves uses a pretty pie bird for a decoration.

And if your football team happens to be playing on Thanksgiving this year you can make a Logo Pie HERE
or simply free hand the team name with a paring knife as I did HERE.

  1. Lynn, A turkey fantail slice of pie for Thanksgiving is such a cute idea! I love those pretty sugar sprinkled leaves for a decoration too :)

  2. These are all fabulous my friend. Since I don't bake I guess I will never do this LOL!!

  3. Your colorful Fall leaves on the pie has always been one of my favorites, Lynn, but the turkey in pie crust form is perfect for Thanksgiving Day!

  8. That is really cute. And the colourful fall leaves are a great idea. I never would have thought to colour up my pie crusts. It would distract everyone from the crappy pie crusts that I make. ;)
