Peanut Butter Bon-Bons for Happy Birthday Wishes!

How about a decadent little birthday treat. these Peanut Butter Bon-Bons do require a little work, but will be well worth it in the end:@) This happened to be an October birthday so I used seasonally colored sprinkles, and of course they could be for any holiday, or just ~any ole~ day...

For the Bon-Bons: I rolled my peanut butter football shaped dip HERE into balls and coated them in white chocolate melts (with a little added shortening to help thin it out). I do recommend putting the balls in the freezer for a while before trying to coat them in the warm candy. Decorate as desired while still wet.

Peanut Butter Bon-Bons
*I made a half batch
1/4 C butter, softened
4oz cream cheese, softened
1 C peanut butter, smooth or chunky
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 C powdered sugar or up to 2 C if needed
Candy melts or chocolate for coating
Sprinkles for decoration if desired-but recommended:@)
  1. Cream butter, cream cheese and peanut butter.
  2. Mix in vanilla.
  3. Add powdered sugar 1/2 C at a time until mixed well. If not thick enough, gradually add the extra 1/2 C powdered sugar but remember it will firm up in the fridge.
  4. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Roll into balls and place on wax paper. (If you feel it's too soft to shape, place in freezer for about 10 minutes.)
  6. Melt candy melts or chocolate, dip bon-bons, place on wax paper.
  7. Add sprinkles if desired.
  8. Cover and put in fridge to firm up.
Have a happy day:@)
