If you're a camper/hiker/boater, take your lunch to work or are a home keeper that likes to keep things as fresh as you can for as long as you can... You can't go wrong with a product that works pretty much as advertised, and Lock & Lock does just that! My only suggestion is, don't microwave in them. I do seem to have a super powerful microwave, but I find that any fat in the soup does pit them a bit so I avoid it.
If you want a practical idea for a gift (any time of year), don't hesitate to give Lock & Lock!
I gave Ma a set of graduated bowls a couple years ago and she's happy with them too.
Have a happy day!
Sometimes it's frustrating to match the lids to the bowls...
I'll tell you what I did in case it helps. I write a number on them with a Sharpie, both the bottom of the bowl and the lid. Just match them up. Not the prettiest, but these are my work bowls,
so that works for me:@)

We pretty much don't put anything rubber or plastic in our microwave anymore... it's really probably not good for us to have plastics bubbling away beneath our food. That being said, we do use a lot of plastic storage containers. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love Love & Lock and have quite a few pieces. They had a breakfast set on QVC and their bagel/roll container is great, as well as one for frozen waffles. I ordered some in glass a while back, too. xo
ReplyDeleteI too just got the breakfast set from QVC..I love Lock & Lock and have been adding to my collection when I see a new set that I can't live without. I don't know what I did without them all of these years...Oh, wait, I cleaned up a lot of spills from things in the fridge!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on the crackers..amazing! xo
Oh my word! That little Santa ornament is so precious! You are so talented! Angie xo
ReplyDeleteMy friend Fancy must have fifty Lock n Locks. I have none. Good to know you tested them Lynn.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I will have to look for some of the containers. Easy traveling too!
ReplyDeleteI love these containers. Thanks for testing them out!
ReplyDeleteI just ordered a set from QVC, to use for leftovers. Trying to find a matching lid and dish was driving me to drink :)
ReplyDeleteI'll tell you what I did in case it helps... I write a number on each one with a Sharpie, both the bottom of the bowl and the lid. Just match them up. Not the prettiest, but these are my work bowls, I'm not setting holiday tables with them, so that was good for me:@)
DeleteWe keep the windows and doors open to the porch in the fall and things crackers go stale quickly so I'm glad to know these work Lynn! I'll have to look for some :)
ReplyDeleteI generally only use my A/C for Sunday dinner, so that's why I'm sooo impressed:@)
DeleteThat's good to know about the lock & lock's, Lynn! I'll have to check out my Ross.
ReplyDeleteI love Lock and Locks too. Another thing they are good for is letterboxing (and probably geocaching too). We love the hobby and I'm always glad to see a letterbox that uses a Lock and Lock. It doesn't matter how long they've been out in the elements, they are always dry as a bone inside.
ReplyDeleteDon't have any of those. Guess I'm behind the times....!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check these out -- love the idea of keeping crackers in them. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm all about saving and storing food these days. We got a food saver back in May, and I've been a storing maniac. Since you can't really vacuum seal crackers without them crumbling (I assume), this would be a great solution.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the tip about writing a matching number on the top and bottom.
You give some of the best tips!
I LOVE Lock and Lock! I've gotten all of mine on QVC...actually, a nice set just arrived! There are just two of us so I got a new set perfect for leftovers. I have tons of them in all different sizes. They are great for storing Christmas cookies!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this tip! I will look for these as I have a VERY hard time keeping crackers fresh. Pinky
ReplyDeleteBTW, do you live in Philly???? I am from there and still live in Pa. about 45 mins. fro Philly.
