Give-Away now closed, the winner was #4, Sherri! Thank you for participating!
I've always liked these quilted Christmas balls and decided to learn to make them this summer. In the spirit of
Christmas In July I'd like to offer this cute little 3" Santa ball as a Give-Away!
Santa has a bit of a vintage feel while the colorful dots make it bright and cheerful.
I used jumbo rick-rack for the edge where the fabrics meet.
If you'd like to be in the drawing simply leave a comment.
Random.org will pick a winner on Saturday the 28th.

There are many great tutorials on-line, I found this one very helpful, and there are some good videos as well. It's also a fun way to use up some favorite scraps from the fabric stash.
Have a happy day:@)

ReplyDeleteWell, of course I'd love having that ornament. I have had Christmas books and magazines out looking at a cooler time of year. I can't wait for winter and will NOT complain about the cold and snow. That's a promise!
ReplyDeleteBest,

Happy Christmas in July!!!! Such a great giveaway!!
ReplyDelete* It's funny that you would ask me about those little purple christmas balls in the photo on my blog ~ I bought them at the goodwill to make Baltimore Raven's ornaments. : )
Your are so smart, thinking of Christmas in July, I'm so bad about thinking ahead, thanks for the inspiration! I love your ornament - please put me in the drawing!
ReplyDeleteYou made that? That's adorable! It would look so perfect on my mother's Santa tree.
ReplyDeleteI took a look at that tutorial and I must say you have my utmost respect and admiration for being able to do something like that and have it turn out so perfect! Love the Christmas in July theme. We could use a little right now.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant Lynn. Love it.
ReplyDeleteLynn, this is darling. I've never made one of these, but I bought one at a craft fair many years ago. The quilter in me was fascinated with these. Thanks for the tutorial. Would love to hang this cutie on our tree if I should be so lucky. Merry Christmas in July! ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet ornament, Lynn. I love this happy Santa Claus' face!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this. It is so cute.
ReplyDeleteI had to check out the tutorial, just to see if I could possibly make one too. I must say that I probably have a better chance of winning yours than I do of making one that looks even remotely like this! I would LOVE to see this hanging on my Christmas tree!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteAwww. It reminds me of the kinds of crafty Christmas ornaments from when I was a kid. CUTE.

I would love to win! I don't think I have the skills to make it on my own :) I learned to do something kind of similar with ribbon when I visited Germany in 2000. That was hard too! Thanks for helping keep the heat down by thinking of Christmas!
ReplyDeleteGosh, that is so darn cute! I'm not crafty, so I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that you'll draw my name :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThat is really adorable! I would love a chance to win! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThose Santa balls are SOOO CUTE!! Great job.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute Christmas ornament, Lynn! I'd love a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love the Santa ball. I went to the site to see how to do it, got half way through and said no way I have the ability to do this. But I enjoyed looking at yours.
ReplyDeleteVery cute ornament Lynn, and I enjoy your cute fabric choices. My Great Aunt gave me the instructions for these ornements along with some fabric and part of a real ornament her friend started. I never was able to finish it. Now maybe I'll get lucky and win yours. I'll keep my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteHo Ho Ho...What an adorable ornament Lynn! I love the rick rack trim and cheery fabric :)
