So I thought I'd play with the yellow cake/pineapple version a bit and make
Yep it's true, you can just mix these two items together and make a cake/cupcakes.
Ambrosia Cupcakes
One white or yellow cake mixOne 20 oz can crushed pineapple
1 tsp orange zest-Used mine from the freezer
1/2 C coconut
Cool Whip
Mini marshmallows
Maraschino cherries
- Put everything (except last three ingredients) into the mixer and let 'er rip!
- Divvy up into cupcake liners, will make 20-24.
- Bake at 350 approximately 18-20 minutes, or until done.
- Cool and frost with Cool Whip, add marshmallows and a cherry to the top. Note: I used real whipped cream out of the can for this pic, it melted too fast, I'd stick with Cool Whip.
- Store covered in the fridge.
I love these quick cakes! Thanks for sharing.
