Thought I'd stop by the Salvation Army and I'm so glad I did! Last Christmas I saw these dishes on ebay and LOVED them! I don't know what it was, maybe the pretty swirled edge, maybe that they're a bit translucent,
maybe the retro feel...
Whatever "it" was, it wasn't worth $45+ to me! I found the whole set for $4.99 at SA!!! 4 each of lunch plates, soup bowls, cups and saucers, but only 3 dinner plates... I can live with that!
For some reason these dishes just make me happy:@)
Those dishes are SO cute!

ReplyDeleteI think the reason that I like them (besieds the fact that you got such a score) is that they remind me of something my grandmother might have used when I was younger. They just have that certain look to them. VERY PRETTY, and I'm looking forward to what you're going to do with them.

I used to have ONE plate just like those. I kept it for years and then decided since I only had one that I would bless someone else with the lonely little plate and so gave it to a thrift store. They are beautiful dishes and lucky you to find so many of them all together and at such a fantastic price!
