Here is my list, in no particular order!
1. Walking on crisp leaves that are beautiful colors and crunch under your feet.
They smell just like fall when the scent hits your nose!
2. Using my wood stove! It's beautiful to light any time but great to have in case the electricity goes out.
(This isn't mine but I got a chuckle out of the cat enjoying the moment!)
3. Being able to bake without humidity! I see cupcakes and cookies in my immediate future:@)
4. Football Season! I say it all the time, everything changes for 17+ weeks-and I love it!
(Of course getting out of bed in that chill is another story:@)
Thank you Cortney and Tablescaper for these fun memes!
Have a happy day:@)

I'm 49 and I still love to crunch the leaves under my feet...and kick them up in the air. :o)
ReplyDeleteI made apple butter as you suggested and it turned out delicious. Thanks for the idea. I always thought you had to have a copper pot to make apple butter. Waking up to that sweet cinnamon-y scent was bliss.
I hope you are having a wonderful week. La
Oh what cute photos. That snuggling cat is just precious! But oh, I do have a hard time getting out from under the covers on a chilly morning! laurie
ReplyDeleteThe smoke filtering thru the crisp sky, apple butter on the gigantic outdoors open fires, church bazaars abound ... snuggling that extra 15 minutes in the morn in that warm bed with my love(r).
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful week.
TTFN ~ Hugs, Marydon
Very cute photos. I love the stove/kitty one, too. Nothing worse than crawling out of a nice warm bed into the cold. brrr!

I love just about the same things...well, er, the football isn't high on my list but gets hubby out of my hair a few hours! We have an old wood stove, too. I look like that kitty sometimes on cold nights!

...ditto except for the ball part...add planting bulbs...♥olive
ReplyDeleteI love everything about fall! I especially love your cute pie bird!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the woodstove. There is no heat like it...the heat goes all the way to the bones. I think you covered most all of the wonderful things about the Fall, thanks.
ReplyDeleteYes to all of the above :)
ReplyDeleteHello and let me say Welcome! I'm so glad you found the Link Party and participated! I signed up to follow your blog too.
ReplyDeleteI like your list and I'm jealous of the wood burning fire- I know it's hot in CA, but it gets chilly at night and cool enough in the winter that a fire would be awesome. We just move from PA in January but we were on the opposite side as you in Pittsburgh. I will be missing the fall in PA. Thanks for sharing and participating!
I do love fall but find the season is way too short here! I love your top fall 5, with one small exception. Go Packers! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love fall and I'm about to decide that I'm one of the few women that don't really enjoy football. My husband loves it...so, I get my share!
ReplyDeleteI like leaves as long as I don't have to rake them! Still very summery here. Tomorrow is a def beach day, in the 80's!
ReplyDeleteI love your post! My son has Direct T.V. NFL Ticket! We can watch football all day long on Sunday and we have lots of laptops and t.v.s running all the games! HeeHee I like walking in the leaves too. Baking! Ah...the aroma! Pumpkins and crisp cool air. Ah...Nice post Anne
ReplyDeleteI love the thought of having a fireplace (we don't have one)to add to the coziness of home in the fall. I love the leaves too but we have three huge maple trees and spend a lot of time raking and mulching them. I enjoyed your post. I also like the table setting in your previous post. I am inspired.
ReplyDeleteGreat fall list! Love your pie vent, that is something I don't have.....yet! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour listing of a wood stove makes me wish that I had one in the place I rent. I have a feeling my dog would be laying just like the cat in your picture!
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog. I'm glad you did, I really am enjoying yours. I'm following now, so feel free to stop by mine anytime.

That pie looks yummy! It is still 90 degrees here and wishing we had a little chill in the air. Hopefully next week it will cool down to the 80's! Thanks for the nice comment on my fall tablescape!
ReplyDeleteI still love walking through crunchy leaves, and can't wait 'til it's cool enough for a fire!
ReplyDeleteBaking without humidity!!! I couldn't AGREE MORE!!! I'm hoping to make some cookies today, if time allows!!.. And if we get to go apple picking soon, or eventually, I'm hoping to make some pies too!!... Have a great day, and a wonderful weekend! (It's almost here!) ~tina
ReplyDeleteYou have an AWESOME list. I forgot football season. Hubs likes that one!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing in the whole wide entire world is to build up a big fire in our wood burner and have hot tea and a huge stack of magazines and...snacks. That's where I stay most of the winter, loving every minute. Winter is my very favorite season..can't wait.
ReplyDeleteAmen to #3 and #5!
ReplyDeleteAngela
I like your list. I might replace football with making homemade soups. I love the little kitty all snuggled up. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHello Lynn! I just love that Kitty picture with the wood stove...that is so moi ;) We don't have woodstoves here in Raleigh but years ago when we were in New Hampshire we did and my Mom still has one in her home there...like you...in case the lights go out! We relocated to NC over 15 years ago so we don't have to worry about the snow storms and loosing our lights anymore or shoveling...woo hoo! I am ready for cooler weather now with this long HOT summer we are still having! I don't make baked beans on the woodstove anymore but I do love to have them in the oven and smelling them along with a pork roast...yum! Love the colors changing but not the shorter evenings...but this is usually when I get caught up on my reading. Have a great week, fondly, Roberta

I'll join you for all but the football. That's my husband's thing. The rest, I'll be glad to second that motion!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Aaaaaahhh... the crunching of the leaves and the smell of firewood in the stove~ It says fall to me, too! I'm loving the cool evenings when I have to put on a sweater and sit under the patio heater out on the deck. It's my favorite time of year!
ReplyDeleteI wish it was Fall over here! I love all of those same things too.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby is excited about football season too. He loves American Football and we get to see all of the games on cable!
Best wishes,
Natasha.
