Barnyard Bash Give-Away!

Hey everyone! I stopped at my favorite antique shop hoping to find something for a give-away and I was happy to walk out with this cute milk glass hen shaped covered dish!
I love these and have a couple different clear glass ones myself, they are great decorations and nice candy dishes. Approx 7" x 5 1/2" x 6" high.
And you just might find one or two chickens around the barnyard!!!

I'm joining Blue Monday, Tabletop Tuesday, Nifty Thrifty Tuesday, White WednesdayCenterpiece Wednesday and Vintage Thingie Thursday with an easy runner/centerpiece idea, simply use three napkins and something fun!
I hope you'll join me on September 10th, to be entered in the give-away
post something related to animals and enter the linky party-easy peasy!
Details HERE.
Have a happy day:@)

  5. I think my grandmother had a dish like that. It has such a familiar look about it. I'm going to poke around my mother's stuff and see if it ended up there.

I put your party button on my blog sideboard. I hope to be able to round up some thing from the barnyard to yak all about!

  11. How very sweet. Granny Walden would set me in the middle of the floor of her farm kitchen with the butter churn to make butter while she was cookin' up a meal when I was little. She would mold the yellow cow salve and put it in a dish just like this to sit on the table. Thanks so much for the memories girl!

Ya'll have yourself a marvelously blessed Monday!

  14. Well, every barnyard needs at least one chicken. This one is a beauty. My mom had a collection of milk glass, that now resides at one of my niece's home. She didn't have a hen on nest or you could be certain that one would be here. :-) Not that I'm not willing to share with my nieces. LOL
    Love the one you found!
I'm looking forward to the Barnyard Bash. Working up a part as I type.
Thanks for hosting this fun idea! ~ Sarah
