Large Accent Bead Shamrocks

Talk about lucky! I thought I was done with the St. Patrick's Day tree this year but as soon as I saw these beauties in the $1 bead bin at Walmart I had to whip up a couple Large Accent Bead Shamrocks. There were seven beads in the bag so they easily made two ornaments and I'm even tickled that the tinsel pipe cleaners look like the veins in the leaves. The larger beads are 1 1/4" and the smaller ones are 1", so they made substantial ornaments.
Cut a pipe cleaner in half, twist the two pieces together creating four sides.
Push the beads on, trim and roll the ends to secure the beads (leaving the stem piece longer). Easy and cute!
I hope you find something fun this weekend too!
Have a happy day:@)

  1. Oh Lynn, these are my new favorites on your tree -- so pretty!! They sparkle and shine and reflect the light. You did a great job and you found a smart way to use those discounted beads. Have a great weekend, my friend! Is it nice there in Philly today? It's supposed to get up into the 50's here today. After yesterday, that will be most welcome. :)

    Hugs to you,

  3. Those shamrocks turned out so pretty, Lynn! That was a lucky find at Wal Mart. I love the shiny pipe cleaners, too. You're a Wonder Woman in crafting!
I hope your snow is melting and that you're having a good weekend. Our snow is almost gone with just a little left in the shady parts. Maybe spring will come soon.
