These clips would make cute ornaments for a Halloween tree too.
Update: In looking around the livingroom I found an owl vase that looks great sporting a hat too:@)

To make a witch hat from hair clip:
- The clip is held on by two dots of glue, carefully pull the glue/clip off of the felt.
- You'll see that the clip goes through a couple holes in the bottom of the hat, slide the clip out. Cut the slit open further, you'll need to make it as long as you can to fit over Barbie's head.
- Poke your finger up through the slit to puff out the top of the hat, gently stuff some cotton ball or batting into it.
- Dress your doll in something Halloween-y and smile.
Make something just for fun and have a happy day:@)

I didn't realize just how far behind I was in my reading until I started reading back on posts I had missed here. I have been a little consumed with a few things here, not the least of which was attempting to remove all the sod from our lawn manually in advance of a new drain line. (The stuff I try to do! Ugh.)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I loved these and kept thinking how funny it is that you actually posed the Barbie models for the pictures. You are such a woman after my own heart. I'm also going to try that recipe in the previous post, maybe this weekend. I loved that football themed wedding cake topper, too. (See? Told you I was behind.)
Love how you've turned those clips into her hat. Very clever Lynn.

Hi Lynnie! Oh, I love these hats on the Barbies! What a cute idea! Hope you're doing well. I guess you are because you're playing! )
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I think I want one, too, Lynn! The barbies look so stylish for some Halloween fun!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a Barbie--and lots of outfits. I've been wishing that for decades.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Talk about easy! I always try and find the year's Halloween Barbie but I am sure the other Barbies would love to get in on the fun.
ReplyDeletejust chillin' with stylin' friends.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Must get there to scoop those up for Halloween crafting. I'm loving the barbies and their stylish photoshoot.
ReplyDeleteLynn, that was very clever of you to envision hats from these hair clips, but they totally work!! They fit the Barbies perfectly, and you're right -- the girls look pretty and not witchy at all. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and thank you for sharing! Have a wonderful day!

I think your house would be a favorite place for any Barbie. These are so cute!

Too fun Lynn, you know I'm feelin' witchy! I didn't cruise the hair clip aisle on my last visit to Dollar Tree :)
ReplyDeleteThese remind me of the large hats worn during the time of Marie Antoinette. Just change them from witch hats to flat hats. Then they are perfect.
