You can use leftover homemade or your favorite frozen macaroni and cheese...
No idea how the blue box would work but I'm guessing that's best saved for the kid's lunch:@)
This is a great flavor combo folks, don't hesitate to try it!
Macaroni and Cheese Stuffed Jalapenos-adapted from The Painted Apron
- Remove seeds and membrane from the jalapenos, generously stuff them with M&C, sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
- Bake at 375 degrees for about 16 minutes. Finish under the broiler to brown up the tops.
- Drizzle with hot sauce if desired.
- Please stop by Jenna's to see the recipe with bacon cooked on the grill.
I add hot sauce to macaroni and cheese--doesn't everyone? I could go for a few (or more) of these.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie

ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Nancy
no bacon?! earl, run!
ReplyDeleteNow this is an interesting combo. Yes, I am surprised that bacon is not hidden somewhere in the recipe, maybe Earl was hiding?
ReplyDelete(((HUGS))) Susanne :)
That looks good I never would have thought of it. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteOooh....these look wonderful! And I can only imagine how fabulous they taste wrapped in bacon!
ReplyDeleteSay What!!!! I am loving this idea.
ReplyDeleteThese look like they would be a big hit with the youngsters! Did you try them? How do they hold up? I sound like a police officer! Ha!!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
What a neat little surprise of macaroni and cheese inside the jalapeƱo. It sounds like a perfect flavor combo.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, sounds amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat...no bacon? :) These were caught my eye too when I saw them on Jenna's grill. It was grilling weather here this past weekend. I just looked at the weather in Philly and winced when I saw there was more snow in the forecast for you :( Mother Nature has not been kind.
ReplyDeleteI have put jalapenos in mac & cheese before but never mac & cheese in jalapenos! A little bacon would be a very good thing! :)
ReplyDeleteYum. That's a snack that wouldn't last long around here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea. I love jalapeƱos and I love mac n cheese. The two together? Heaven!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh! I bet the flavor a are terrific together. The bread crumbs are a great addition.
ReplyDeleteHa! I am beyond flattered, but hey, it's embarrassing that you had no bacon!! :) So glad you enjoyed!! I hope you can grill soon, I cringed this morn when the weather talk was of yet another polar vortex!
ReplyDeleteJenna
This would make an interesting appetizer, Lynn. I love mac and cheese!
ReplyDeleteMmm....Mac and Cheese. I think I could eat Mac and Cheese stuffed in just about anything! As for grilling...we have another snow storm on the way. We finally could see the grill, but with temps in the single digits and more snow...who knows when we will use it!
ReplyDeleteMy husband would LOVE these. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try these awesome peppers! Thank you so much for sharing your awesome post with Full Plate Thursday and have a great weekend.
