The vest can be open or closed, a ribbon belt or couple buttons
would be really cute on the vest too-just sayin'.

The back:
We've all seen these doilies in the $1.50 bin at Michaels (90¢ with a 40% off coupon), they come in great seasonal colors and the 8" size is perfect, you just need to remove the tag.
Simply fold it down a bit (this creates the collar), turning the shorter side to the outside.
Wrap it around Barbie's shoulders or stick her arms through the holes in the back for the vest.
Easy peasy, elegant and inexpensive-I like that kind of craft:@)
Have a happy day!

Lynn, Barbie's wardrobe is better than mine :) Too clever using a doily as a cape!
ReplyDeleteLaughing at Mary's comment. My Barbies were always dressed better than I was. Of course, my Barbies had better figures than I ever had, too. This is really a cute and quick idea, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteYou must have the best dressed Barbies in town, Lynn. I hope you end up with LOTS of little granddaughters!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet. I had our 3 little granddaughters, ages 5, 4, and 4, for a sleep over the other night and Barbies were everywhere. They sure would have looked great in this. I agree with Chris's statement about..you must have the best dressed Barbies in town.
ReplyDeleteMy, Barbie is looking so stylish. What an easy idea for the granddaughters. xo
ReplyDeleteEven I could make this one! Neat idea!!
ReplyDeleteHow clever!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, what will they come up with next. This is really a great idea. So many Barbie lovers out there. Leave it to you to add your own touch.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy day.
xo, Jeanne
