My inspiration was a tutorial for pocket potholders HERE, but I decided to go a with slightly different idea. What I love about starting with a potholder is, it's easy to sew around the seam that's already on the binding, you don't have to worry about sewing in a straight line! I think this is a fun idea especially as we're coming into yard sale season and jeans can be picked up easily. The button is totally optional:@)
Tip: If using purchased pot holders make sure you wash and dry them first in case they shrink.

This is a very creative project! I love also that it's quick to finish - I get bored with long projects! I think those $ store pot holders could be embellished in lots of cute ways, thanks for the inspiration!

ReplyDeleteWonderful idea! I always want to buy pot holders, oven mitts etc. from the dollar store, but stop myself from doing so, since one can only use so many potholders. This would be a great excuse to buy some though! Lol.
