Super Easy Football Cupcakes

When it comes to cupcake embellishment it just doesn't get much easier than this folks! You know Earl and I are big football fans and even though our team isn't in the big game *sigh* we've never shied away from any excuse to eat cupcakes:@) Simply add chocolate frosting to a disposable icing bag fitted with a larger star tip (I used Wilton 21) and zig-zag it back and forth trying to make a football shape. Then add white frosting to another bag fitted with a writing tip (I used Wilton 5) and make the "laces".
They took about 15 minutes to decorate and everyone got a big kick out of them!

As for the Super Bowl, I think it will be fun this year. It really doesn't matter to me who wins,
I just plan on celebrating all of the touchdowns...
And hoping I win at least one quarter on my Block Pool!

I've seen these cupcakes around the web and on Pinterest, I don't have a link back.
If anyone wants to give me one I'll be glad to add it-thanks.

  1. Very cute! As for me, I didn't even know it was Super Bowl weekend until the other day. I guess it's safe to assume that I'm not a fan of football, hahaha! Enjoy those cupcakes, they sure look cute and yummy!

  4. These look good, Lynn. If it's chocolate, it's for me!!! I'm planning to make your buffalo chicken muffins for superbowl snacking. I don't care who wins either. I'll wait and see which quarterback is cuter. :) Memories of the days of Joe Namath... Linda

  13. Very cute, Lynn! Enjoy the game. You must invite some people over to enjoy the cupcakes.

I wanted to ask if you posted a recipe several years ago called Lemon Chicken. I copied the recipe and failed to write down where I found it. This was before I discovered Pinterest. I have enjoyed making it many times. Let me know if it is your recipe. It has been great for us. My husband loves it and I do remember whoever posted it saying how easy and good it was.

Thanks for visiting me. Have a great weekend.
