I've been inspired by the cute felt ornaments I've seen on the net so thought I'd give it a try! I have the Halloween feather tree up and decided on an owl thinking these fun sequins would make interesting eyes. The ornaments are less than 2" tall.
Dug through my stash of stuff, the beak is a heart sequin, black 'pearls' for pupils. Ma also brought over some great trims when I told her what I was up to-thanks Ma!
Ok here's the thing, I can always laugh at myself and in retrospect wouldn't have added the trim where I did... Look at one on the right in this pic and tell me he doesn't remind you of the movie Gremlins!

I think they are very cute but yes, I do see a little 'gremlin' owl I think!! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhh I love 'em. Hooty Hoot!!..an I agree,we'll call the one on the left Gizmo and the other one is Stripe
ReplyDeleteThe ornament on the right has a cute but devilish grin that kids get when they've done something and don't want to get caught.

Just dont feed them after midnight! Soo cute.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!

Lynn~ Your owl-a-ween ornaments are adorable, gremlin-esque or not!
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, Your ornaments are very cute and I agree the one on the right does look like a Gremlin. HA! I love to make thing but haven't done it in years. When we moved I got rid of my stash. This house is smaller and no room for crafting supplies. Plus my grands are all teens or older and they no longer live near by. Sigh!!! I miss those days. Sounds like you have a great mom. My parents have been gone a long time and I still miss them so much. Time goes on and things change. We are lucky to have a wonderful life in our retirement.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend,
Hugs, Jeanne
How very cute!
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable!! I am laughing because..you know when on TV or movies they have the phychiatrists do those blot tests and people see different things...well when you said that about the gremlin, then I saw it, but not before...now I'm trying to see it as a regular owl and it's not so easy...how funny. - - It doesn't take much to make me happy now does it!
ReplyDeleteHave a good rest of the weekend! xo
I think they are adorable, and owls or gremlins are perfect for Halloween. Joni
