Dog Days of Summer
The family reunion is real nice,
But still one has to wonder...
Who set the schedule to coincide,
With the dog days of summer?
Between the heat and fetching,
I am running hither and yonder.
This old dog is tuckered out,
And the kids are calling me... bummer.
Delightful summer poem :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute and what a way to cool off. It gives me goosebumps. Hope you have a happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteCute poem... and that's exactly why I never attend family reunions in Iowa because they always have them in July or August. UGH. They might talk me into going if it were in October.

ReplyDeleteGood job. The heat has just been terrible.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww, I thought that was cute. Today was terrible with heat in Rhode Island. Hope it don't last or at least I hope this is the two weeks we get every year, so we can just get over with it. Can't believe it is August already. Wow, time flies and soon it is back to school for me. Managing work and school, ugh, I am not looking forward to that at all!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if he'd move over?? Looks like the perfect way to keep cool:) Love your poem!
